Our first Week at the Lake

We have been asked what our assignment at the lake will be.  Our main job will be to facilitate the fun and safety of 2400 Young Women each week  as they enjoy the lake.  We will have about the same number of group and family campers on Fridays and Saturdays.  Over the course of the summer we will see about  60,000 campers!

But- before the girls arrive- there is work to do!  The lake has been shut down for the winter and now has to be brought to life.....

Here's some of what we did this week:
Our first day at the lake!

Standing by the watch tower!

Building the new rescue raft

Team work

The sisters support by offering advice and taking pictures!

Contemplating a job well done
New and old life vests needed to be sorted and the new ones labeled

New paddle boats arrived!

Wax on-Wax off....

Launching the paddle boats

This is good exercise!!!

Getting the pontoon boat ready to launch
Sister Heaton and Sister Oliekan

Setting up the weather station

We had beautiful weather all week and were able to accomplish a lot.
