Last Week of Young Women

It's hard to believe that this is the last week we will have the Young Women groups in camp!  Ten weeks have gone by very quickly.
Last week started very strangely.  Sunday night it started to rain and Monday morning it continued to down pour.  This was the first week that we had no girls scheduled on the lake on Monday!  Had they been scheduled, we would have put them on the lake and we would have all been drenched and cold.  We were grateful to be in our nice dry, warm cabin.

We have very changeable weather here on the mountain.  It can be beautiful one minute and then crazy wind and / or rain the next.  Friday night we had a group of families that we couldn't put on the lake because the wind was so strong we actually had whitecaps on the lake.  Saturday morning we started early and held a special 8:30 session for them so they could come back.  The water was like glass.  They all had a great time.
The best part of the weather, is the amazing views we get.  Sun, rain, snow, fog, the mountain is beautiful!!!

Sunset after the rain

We had a surprise visitor this week at our cabin.
Apparently he was hanging out in our tent.  When Granger opened it up to get out the Rhino, he headed to the side of our cabin.  So glad I wasn't outside!  Granger escorted him to a  grassy area and we haven't seen him since.  This is good, because the neighboring cabin has two snakes that live underneath!

We have had some fun with family!  Layne and Donna came up on Sunday and attended church with us.  We had dinner after and played some games.  It was fun to spend some time with them.  Their daughter, Megan, will be here next week with a group of EFY staff.  It will be fun to see her.
